On Stage Theatrical Productions, Inc. provides collaborative opportunities for professional artists, amateurs and students of the arts. We are committed to superlative instruction, performances, and youth development.
The performing arts program, "Give Kids A Chance" is offered to school age children in the Fall River Public Schools as an after school program. The program is designed to educate and introduce public school children to a variety of dance forms. "Give Kids A Chance" offers students from all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds a chance to take lessons in dance, voice, musical theater and drama. On Stage will offer free instruction along with classes in acting and musical theater to elementary age-high school children from Fall River. Who otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience the performing arts as part of their education.
Target Audience: children who would never have the opportunity to be involved in the performing arts due to financial instability.
Students in the program will be given access to a world they may never have been able to visit on their own. The discipline and self esteem they learn through the performing arts will translate into other areas of their lives such as; their school work, the games they play, how they relate and contribute to other people. After 16 years of existence, the project speaks for itself with successful high school graduates now attending colleges with full academic scholarships. Arts equal an unrivaled discipline which students at On Stage are taught.
On Stage is proud to have a 100% high school graduation rate with students who have attended our program. While our city currently has approximately a 70% high school graduation rate.
We also have a 98% college graduation rate with 2% of our students entering the ROTC program for scholarship opportunities. Thus, proving that our program provides the skills needed for students to become successful adults in the community.
20 new students were able to participate in the "Give Kids a Chance Program". Thank you to Traveling TuTu's for sponsoring our uniforms and to Mr. Ward for supporting our program.
