On Stage Theatrical Productions Proudly Presents - FALL RIVER YOUTH INITIATIVE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The City of Fall River is launching the ‘For Youth Initiative’, a program created using ARPA funds. This initiative, proposed by City Councilor Laura Washington, is aimed to provide Fall River youth from low-income and middle-incomes households scholarship opportunities to pursue extra-curricular programs. In addition, it will support the small businesses and non-profit organizations that offer activities for youth, and were
economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

5 classes open for Children through the Fall River Youth Initiative

Tuesday 4:30-5:30 p.m. for Children ages 7-9
Tuesday 7:30-8:30 p.m. for Children ages 10-13
Boys Acting and Voice Classes
6- Week Creative Movement - Frozen Storybook Ballet Tuesday 4:30-5:10 p.m. Children 3-4
6 -Week Level 1 Ballet/Tap/Jazz for new students 4:30-6:00 p.m.

Our program is designed as a comprehensive educational endeavor, extending its reach to introduce a diverse array of performing arts to our young participants. With an unwavering commitment to inclusivity, "Give Kids A Chance" paves the way for students of varying socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds to access dance, voice, musical theater, and drama instruction. In collaboration with On Stage, "Give Kids A Chance" goes beyond conventional norms by providing complimentary instruction in acting and musical theater.
This offering caters to elementary through high school students hailing from Fall River, addressing a crucial need and ensuring that children who would otherwise be hindered by financial instability are granted the opportunity to embrace the performing arts within their educational journey.

The primary aim of "Give Kids A Chance" is to bridge the gap for children who have been deprived of exposure to the performing arts due to financial constraints. Our program offers them an unprecedented gateway into a world they might not have accessed otherwise. The virtues of discipline and self-esteem instilled through these performing arts experiences extend their influence beyond the studio, positively affecting academic pursuits, recreational activities, and interpersonal interactions.

After 40 years of dedicated existence, the program's profound impact speaks for itself. We proudly boast a remarkable record of successful high school graduates who have seamlessly transitioned into colleges armed with full academic scholarships.

At On Stage, the significance of arts as a conduit for unparalleled discipline is resoundingly evident in the students' growth.

Notably, On Stage takes immense pride in achieving a remarkable 100% high school graduation rate among its program attendees. This achievement stands as a testament to the efficacy of the program's approach, particularly when contrasted with the city's broader high school graduation rate, currently hovering around 60%.
Furthermore, On Stage celebrates an impressive 98% college graduation rate, with an additional 2% of graduates opting to enroll in the ROTC program to leverage scholarship opportunities. These statistics overwhelmingly demonstrate the program's ability to cultivate the essential skills necessary for students to emerge as accomplished adults within their community.
